ABOUT CRAG:

CRAG is an independent research institution engaged in leading-edge basic and applied plant and farm animal sciences. CRAG is established as a Consortium of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), Institute of Agrifood Research and Technology (IRTA), Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), and University of Barcelona (UB). The Center is located at the UAB Campus, and currently hosts 200 members from across the world.

Research Programs at CRAG (from basic science to applied research using plant experimental model systems, crops and farm animals) make extensive use of genomic technologies and large sets of genetic and genomic data (https://www.cragenomica.es/sites/default/files/2022-07/crag-summary-2020-2021_0.pdf).

 MISSION:

Ensure the efficiency and optimization of digital tools at CRAG, guaranteeing the proper use of Microsoft 365, Teams, the intranet, and developed or acquired applications. Facilitate digitalization, automation, and continuous process improvement, plan technological investments in coordination with the area manager, and implement new digital solutions. Promote synergies with equivalent areas in CERCA centers.

 RESPONSIBILITIES:

 - Digital Workplace & Productivity Tools

• Administration and optimization of Microsoft 365 and Teams.
• Management and improvement of the intranet and digital applications.
• Ongoing user training through guides, seminars, and training sessions.
• Creation of periodic surveys to identify IT needs (M365, Teams, digital applications).
• Implementation of improvements and new digital tools (e.g., Power BI).

- IT Needs Analysis and Planning

• Use of the ticketing system to prioritize and manage technological improvements.
• Coordination with the area manager and a specific committee to identify and plan technological investments. Proposal of new acquisitions and optimization of digital resources.

- Coordination and Support

• Support in the implementation of new technologies.
• Coordination with the Systems Administrator to ensure compatibility and security.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education
• Degree in analytical-based fields such as Computer Science, Telecommunications, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, or similar.
• The following will be positively valued:
• Certifications in Microsoft 365 and/or ITIL.
• Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate.

Experience
• Previous experience in the administration of digital tools and collaborative environments will be valued.
• Experience in training and IT process improvement will be valued.
• Knowledge in digital process automation and/or technology upgrade plans.

Skills and Competencies
• Advanced level of English.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Communication skills and user training abilities.
• Proactive and continuous improvement-oriented mindset.
• Problem-solving orientation.
• Ability to coordinate and work within a technical team.

Technical Knowledge
• Administration of Microsoft 365 environments (Microsoft 365/SharePoint, Teams, Teams Telephony, and OneDrive.)
• Experience in Active Directory administration.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Contract: Permanent

Hours/week: full time (37,5 hours/week)
