CRAG is an independent research institution engaged in leading-edge basic and applied plant and farm animal sciences. CRAG is established as a Consortium of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), Institute of Agrifood Research and Technology (IRTA), Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), and University of Barcelona (UB). The Center is located at the UAB Campus, and currently hosts 200 members from across the world.
Research Programs at CRAG (from basic science to applied research using plant experimental model systems, crops, and farm animals) make extensive use of genomic technologies and large sets of genetic and genomic data (https://www.cragenomica.es).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Center for Research in Agricultural Genomics (CRAG) is looking for a HR Talent Officer for HR unit focusing on Talent Development to carry out HR functions supporting our research and people staff.
The HR Talent Officer unit will work under the supervision of the Head of Human Resources.
His/her main responsibilities will include:
- Provide support to research groups in all employee life cycle.
- Implement, develop with HR Manager support, all the procedures, processes, and HR policies of CRAG.
- Keep our data base update and manage different personnel report.
- Management of Training Plan, identify needs and manage our internal CRAG Training platform (reporting and development of new functionalities); coordination of our external providers good communication and coordination of FUNDAE needs.
- Implementation of the actions of HRS4R (Human Resources Strategy of European commission) including Gender Plan. Together with HR manager.
- Follow up and management of Young Talent researchers at CRAG: students from other institutions (agreements and follow up health insurances) including visitors.
- Management of onboarding processes around the world
- Recruitment and selection for research groups and staff (dissemination and management of CRAG Jobs internal portal)
- Collaborate in Health and Safety area of the unit.
- Direct support to the Head of Unit for administration and HR talent processes.
REQUIREMENTS:
- University Degree related to Labour Sciences, Psychology or similar
- Postgraduate or master’s in human resources will be valued
- Minimum two years of experience in HR unit
- Equivalent English B2 CEFR level - Tittle accrediting or equivalent
- Spanish full command
- HR Analytics systems experience will be a plus.
- Will be an asset: Experienced in a public research center and implementing development projects.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Interim contract until filling the vacancy with a permanent contract
- Working day: Full 37.5 hours/week.
- Remuneration: depending on the experience and qualifications provided and framed within the salary structure of CRAG
- Planned date of incorporation: June 2023
- Facilities for balance work and personal life through teleworking and flexible working hours, 22 days of holidays, 9 free days of personal matters; intensive working hours on summer and Fridays.
