Job description
The Center for Research in Agricultural Genomics (CRAG) is looking for a technician to be part of the group working on ‘Omics approaches to understand flower developmental programs and gene regulatory networks’.
CRAG is an independent research institution engaged in leading-edge basic and applied plant and farm animal sciences. CRAG is established as a Consortium of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), Institute of Agrifood Research and Technology (IRTA), Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), and University of Barcelona (UB). The Center is located at the UAB Campus, and currently hosts 200 members from across the world.
Research Programs at CRAG (from basic science to applied research using plant experimental model systems, crops and farm animals) make extensive use of genomic technologies and large sets of genetic and genomic data (http://biannualreport2014-2015.cragenomica.es/).
Responsibilities:
- Preparing material, reagents and solutions for the following activities:
a. Poly-Ribo Seq preparative and ultracentrifugation phases
b. GUS assays (from plant germination to GUS staining)
-Permanent laboratory activities such as PCR-genotyping, growing plants in selective media, sowing of Arabidopsis seeds, and taking care of plants in greenhouses and walk-in chambers.
-Take pictures in a light-field microscope
The tasks are included within the framework of the "Genomic, proteomic and genetic analyses of the Arabidopsis flower development gene regulatory network" BFU2014- 58289-P.

Educational Requirements:
-Candidate must have or must be currently on going on a scientific degree
Required Skills:
- Knowledge in plant molecular techniques and growth conditions
- Clean and organized
- Autonomous
