ABOUT CRAG:

CRAG is an independent research institution engaged in leading-edge basic and applied plant and farm animal sciences. CRAG is established as a Consortium of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), Institute of Agrifood Research and Technology (IRTA), Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), and University of Barcelona (UB). The Center is located at the UAB Campus, and currently hosts 200 members from across the world.

Research Programs at CRAG (from basic science to applied research using plant experimental model systems, crops and farm animals) make extensive use of genomic technologies and large sets of genetic and genomic data (https://biennialreport2016-2017.cragenomica.es/).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The candidate will provide research support to ongoing experiments in the Monte laboratory.

All the tasks are included in the framework of the research project with reference: PGC2018-099987-B-I00.

REQUIREMENTS:

Educational requirements: B.Sc in Biotechnology or similar; Master degree in Genetics or similar.

Skills: Required skills include experience in plant growth, molecular cloning, protein interaction techniques, and handling of confocal microscope.

Experience: Experience in a plant molecular biology lab required. Knowledge of plant responses to light and hormones will be positively evaluated.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Contract Duration: 6 months

Hours/week: Full time
