ABOUT CRAG:
CRAG is an independent research institution engaged in leading-edge basic and applied plant and farm animal sciences. CRAG is established as a Consortium of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), Institute of Agrifood Research and Technology (IRTA), Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), and University of Barcelona (UB). The Center is located at the UAB Campus, and currently hosts 200 members from across the world.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Center for Research in Agricultural Genomics (CRAG) is looking for a PhD Student to be part of the group of Animal Genomics.
The candidate will be in charge of the application of several molecular biology techniques in animal samples, including RNA extractions, quantification and quality check of RNA, synthesis of cDNA and real-time qPCR analysis of gene expression.
The tasks are included within the framework of the project “Molecular physiology of energy metabolism in pigs: genetic bases for the selection of production efficiency and meat quality” with reference PID2020-112677RB-C22Proyecto Referencia del proyecto de investigación financiado por MCIN/ AEI /10.13039/501100011033
REQUIREMENTS:
Educational requirements: Graduate student in life sciences
Skills: Knowledge of basic molecular biology and genetic techniques. Knowledge in animal science will be an advantage.
Experience: Previous research experience in a laboratory of molecular biology.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Contract Duration: 3 months
Hours/week: full time
