Job description

The Center for Research in Agricultural Genomics is an independent research institution engaged in leading-edge basic and applied plant and farm animal sciences. CRAG is established as a Consortium of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), Institute of Agrifood Research and Technology (IRTA), Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), and University of Barcelona (UB). The Center is located at the UAB Campus, and currently hosts 200 members from across the world.

CRAG is seeking to incorporate highly talented and motivated postdoctoral scientists that are interested in innovative and multidisciplinary sciences, encompassing experimental, bioinformatics and theoretical approaches.

Currently, we are inviting applications for 1 postdoctoral position to study Nuclear RNA processes in plants (Arabidopsis thaliana) and animals (Caenorhabditis elegans) within our CRAG “Severo Ochoa” Internationalization Postdoctoral Program, to start in April 2019. Responsibilities:

Postdoctoral fellows are sought to conduct innovative research aimed to elucidate the role of novel nuclear processes conducted by non-coding RNAs. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who has interest in RNA biochemistry, cell biology and bioinformatics, is fluent in English (both written and oral) and able to integrate in a running laboratory as a team-player. The project will involve collaborations in others laboratories around Europe. Consequently, the candidate should be motivated to perform short-term stays abroad.

•             Applicants must hold a doctorate degree before the start of the postdoctoral contract

•             Applicants must possess a high-quality research trajectory and a competitive publication track record
